History
The Harambee Youth Center has been in existence since 1965. The program’s mission is to assist, support and advocate on behalf of largely low-income, minority young people in connection with their educational, social, recreational and personal goals while surrounded in a safe environment.
Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. serves as the fiscal Agent for Harambee, and assists in advancing the Center’s programs and services, supported in part by the City of Danbury and the United Way of Western Connecticut.
